COPD Support & Treatment in Birmingham
One of the reasons why salt therapy is so effective for people suffering from COPD is that salt naturally thins out mucus, which makes it easier for the body to dispense with it. Furthermore, salt has various healing properties that ultimately cleanses the respiratory system and accelerates the removal of toxins
Salt helps to kill bacteria and its anti-pathogenic effects assist with eradicating the viruses that are often responsible for colds.
Due to the mucolytics effects, the lungs and airways are able to be cleared of stubborn phlegm and mucus.
Salt's anti-inflammatory affects help sooth the patient by reducing the symptoms of colds, including blocked noses, sore throats and coughs.
By lowering IgE levels (immune system sensitivity), salt therapy is able to help the patient build their natural defenses against cold viruses.
Reduce dependency on steroid inhalers and reduce hospital admissions for COPD flare-up.
